Free Housing and Shelter Assistance Information

Assistance is provided to people looking for employment or temporary shelter/housing in San Diego, California. The program is ongoing, the first Monday of every month at 9:30 a.m. Presented by McAlister Institute. Funded by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency.

ESL Citizenship Class
Tuesdays and Wednesdays

A free ESL Citizenship class is being offered by San Diego Continuing Education and the Mira Mesa Branch of the San Diego Public Library System. You can begin the class any time during the semester. Register in class or call 619-388-1800 for registration information. Instructors suggest taking citizenship classes before you send your application for naturalization. At this class you will: Practice for naturalization interview; learn the 100 questions asked at the interview; and improve English listening, speaking, reading and writing.
**NO CLASSES ON DECEMBER 25 AND DECEMBER 26.**

Being Sherlock: The Art of the Mystery and the Science of Forensics**

If you like reading mysteries and are intrigued by crime investigation, then this class is for you! Explore the exciting world of forensics, including DNA evidence, fingerprints and handwriting analysis. Then learn how mystery writers incorporate this information into their books. No experience is required.
Annual Christmas Ornament Party

Literature Comes to Life: Winter Holiday

Exposure to nature through play leads to exploration and discovery, engaging both the physical and mental abilities of children. This hands-on, 4 week course is for kids to learn about the environment, gardening and how to care for the earth!
