The Mira Mesa High School Madrigals, directed by Marielena Teng, will begin the December 3 MMTC meeting with a brief program of seasonal music. The meeting starts at 7pm in the Mira Mesa Library community meeting room, 8405 New Salem Street, San Diego CA 92126.
Following the Madrigals’ choral program, the main business December 3 will be a vote by the MMTC membership to select the 2018 Mira Mesa Volunteer of the Year. Each year since 1984 the MMTC has honored a Volunteer of the Year, someone who has made a significant contribution to Mira Mesa through volunteer work, not just during the past year but over the years s/he has been involved with the community. This year there are three outstanding nominees for Mira Mesa Volunteer of the Year: Mike Gapasin; Sarah Spear-Barrett; and Jeanne Christensen. All current MMTC members are encouraged to attend and vote December 3! Biographies of the nominees are posted at www.miramesatowncouncil.org
MMTC members will also vote Dec. 3 on approval of the Mira Mesa Maintenance Assessment District FY 2020 budget, following a brief presentation by MM MAD Committee chair Tom Derr. The budget is posted at www.miramesatowncouncil.org.
The meeting will adjourn for refreshments and fellowship. For more information contact Pam Stevens, MMTC program chair, email@example.com.
