December 1

Donation deadline to raise money for wreaths which will be laid December 14 at Miramar National Cemetery by Mira Mesa Women’s Club as part of Wreaths Across America Project – donate at wreathsacrossamerica.org/CA0139

Mira Mesa Women’s Club 3rd Annual Food Drive  – donations of food or money to help create food baskets for Mira Mesa families in need during winter break. December 2

Mira Mesa High School Madrigals perform at the start of the Mira Mesa Town Council meeting! 7pm, Mira Mesa Library community room. Public welcome! MMTC members will vote on Maintenance Assessment District’s FY 2021 budget and to select 2019 Mira Mesa Volunteer of the Year whom MMTC will honor at annual dinner in spring 2020. December 5

Mira Mesa High School Winter Band Concert. 7pm, MMHS Gym. Tickets $5 at the door.

 

December 6

Mira Mesa Senior Center Christmas Party & Holiday Charity Benefit. 5pm – 10pm, Verne Goodwin Mira Mesa Senior Center, 8460 Mira Mesa Boulevard

Dinner, Special Guest Floyd A. Smith, Bass Baritone Singer for the Legendary 5th Dimension

Toys for Tots Pancake Breakfast, served by 6th District City Councilmember Chris Cate and hosted by sponsors the Mira Mesa Senior Center and the Black Mountain Masonic Lodge.

8:30am – 10:30am, Verne Goodwin Mira Mesa Senior Center, 8460 Mira Mesa Blvd.

Free to attend, suggested donation one new, unwrapped toy per guest.

Mira Mesa High School presents “A Delightful Quarantine, A Play About a Homebound Town,”

Mira Mesa High Theatre, 10510 Marauder Way. 4 performances (2 for each cast). Blue Cast performs December 6 at 3:30pm and December 7 at 6pm; Gold Cast performs December 6 at 7pm and December 7 at 2pm. Tickets on sale now. Play recommended for middle school age or older. December 12

Mira Mesa High School Winter Orchestra Concert, 7pm, MMHS Theatre. Both Concert and Symphony Orchestra will perform. Tickets, $10 each, will be available online starting December 2 at http://miramesaorchestras.org or at the door.
