By Jennever Suryadihardja

Three Treasures Cultural Arts Society, a 501c(3) cultural non-profit organization based in Mira Mesa serving youths and their families throughout San Diego County will be holding Mesa Smash event. Mesa Smash hosts monthly video game tournaments for youths and adults.

Mesa Smash Tourney #5 is an Arcadian Tourney and will be held Feb. 22nd, 2020, 9450 Candida St, San Diego, CA 92126, USA, by Mesa Smash director, Michaelangelo Sansano.

What is an arcadian? An arcadian tournament means that anyone currently ranked on the Power Rankings or previously ranked on the power rankings are ineligible to compete in this event. This is a huge opportunity for newer players/ascending players to take to the main stage and show off their skills. However, this tournament is only for in-town players.

Again, as stated, only players allowed to enter are players who have never power ranked for SSBU in any region, never been ranked in the PGR for Ultimate or been ranked in the Wifi Warriors Ranking for Ultimate.

The last winners of January Mesa Smash #4 are
1st Place: Android 69
2nd Place: Pumpknspce
3rd Place: Noel

The mission of Mesa Smash is to bring kids and their families together to have a place to play, hang out, and communicate with other kids who wish to be future competitive gamers. “Though we’re quite new, we will continue to keep growing to improve attendees’ event experience for the kids, friends, and families in the community,” stated director Michaelangelo Sansano.

A little bit about Three Treasures, Three Treasures Cultural Arts Society is known for its Youth Mentorship Program which is an after school enrichment program that operates at different elementary schools within San Diego and Poway Unified School Districts.
