Mira Mesa Town Council June 1 meeting ONLINE – Public Invited!

The Mira Mesa Town Council, Mira Mesa’s non-profit volunteer civic group, invites everyone interested to attend the Mira Mesa Town Council meeting ONLINE this Monday evening, June 1, 2020. The meeting will be hosted on the Mira Mesa Town Council Facebook page through Facebook Live, starting at 7pm.

This first virtual Town Council meeting will be a brief one, lasting about an hour, but covering some important topics.

On the agenda will be:
Awarding of the three 2020 Mira Mesa Town Council/Verne Goodwin Scholarships: MMTC Scholarship Committee Chair Eric Kolbeck will introduce the graduating high school seniors who are this year’s scholarship winners– Cassandra Bui, Christina Mai, and Vivian Nguyen! Each will receive a $1,000 college scholarship. They were selected from an outstanding group of applicants by the MMTC scholarship committee based on their volunteer experience and work. The winners have each worked
throughout their high school years to give back to the community in many ways, while maintaining excellent grades and participating in numerous extracurricular activities. Each of the winners will have an opportunity at the MMTC meeting to say a few words about themselves, their volunteer work, and their plans for the future.

Introduction of the winner of the Scripps Mesa Fireworks T-Shirt Design contest: Scripps Mesa Fireworks president Michael Spencer will introduce Jaina, a second grader from Hage Elementary School, who is the winner of the 2020 SMF T-Shirt Design Contest. For more details, see
