In-N-Out Cover to Cover Club
The In-N-Out Cover to Cover reading program is back and has gone virtual! The program starts on Saturday, October 3rd and ends on Saturday, November 14th for children ages 4-12. Children will receive an award of one free hamburger or cheeseburger for every five books read, up to three awards! You can register for the In-N-Out Cover to Cover program at www.sandiego.gov/covertocover. If you participated in a reading program with the library in the last 3 years, you may already have an account with our book logging site, Beanstack. Please call your local library if you have trouble accessing your account. Once you have logged five books on Beanstack, you may come to the Mira Mesa Library to redeem your prize.

Banned Book Club will discuss short stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The Mira Mesa Branch Library is holding several copies of Poe short story collections, and a few of Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles for those who’d like to read Bradbury’s “Usher Two” and compare it with Poe’s “Fall of the House of Usher.” If you would enjoy joining in the discussion, or simply sitting in and listening, please email book group facilitator Pam Stevens, email@example.com, by Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. for the meeting ID.
