On Saturday, October 31, 2020, the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department welcomes Mira Mesa families to the driveway of Hourglass Recreation Center from 10am to 1pm for a Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat event. Participants are encouraged to wear their costumes and must wear a facial covering. Drivers of cars pulling up at the “Trick or Treat” station will be asked how many are in the car, and Parks and Recreation staff will put the treat bags into your trunk for you.
Everyone will also have a chance to get out of their cars briefly to take photos of themselves in costume at a “photo booth” station, then email their photos to enter a Virtual Costume Contest. All ages are eligible to participate in the costume contest! Adults are encouraged to enter, as well as kids. If you can’t make it to the event at Hourglass, you are still welcome to enter a photo in the costume contest. San Diego City Parks and Recreation staff will pick the top three winners and notify them to pick up their prizes. Email your photos by the end of the day on October 31 to firstname.lastname@example.org
The San Diego Parks and Recreation Department thanks the Mira Mesa Women’s Club for their help with preparations for this event.
