Sixth District San Diego City Councilmember Chris Cate will be the featured speaker at the first Mira Mesa Town Council meeting of the New Year, Monday, January 4, 2021, 7pm via Zoom and Facebook Live. Cate will officiate at a brief swearing-in for the 2021 MMTC Board of Directors, then give the community an update about Mira Mesa and the District in general. Public welcome!
MMTC welcomes Danielle Austin to the Board as a new Director at Large in 2021. Teri Ang, MMTC Director at Large for several years, is stepping down from the Board in 2021, but will continue as an active general member and as Mira Mesa Street Fair entertainment chair.

All Mira Mesa residents (age 16 and up) and representatives of Mira Mesa businesses are eligible to join the Mira Mesa Town Council as voting members. MMTC is a non-profit volunteer civic group which holds “town hall” meetings to discuss community issues together with representatives of elected officials, as well as organizes projects and events to make Mira Mesa a better place to live.
MMTC meetings are currently taking place virtually, via Zoom and Facebook Live.
Annual dues for residential members of MMTC are $20/year, or $15/year for additional members in the same household. Dues for students or seniors are $10/year. Business memberships are $50/year. The membership year for MMTC runs from July through June.
As part of its 2020/2021 Membership Drive, MMTC is extending memberships by one year for all currently paid-up members, as well as anyone who joins or renews now, from an expiration date of June 30, 2021, to not expire until June 30, 2022.
