County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer Featured at Feb. 1 MMTC Meeting via Zoom, 7pm

By Pam Stevens

Meet newly elected Third District San Diego County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer via Zoom when she
updates the Mira Mesa Town Council on the state of the County at the Mira Mesa Town Council meeting
Monday, February 1, at 7pm. Public welcome! Details about how to join the meeting via Zoom or watch
on Facebook Live are at the end of this article.

Mira Mesa Community Planning Group chair Jeff Stevens will provide an update on problems with the
City’s proposed Parks Master Plan, which could do away with the FBA, the fund that developers pay into
that has built all of Mira Mesa’s existing parks since 1990.

The meeting will also include a presentation on the fate of Mira Mesa Lanes, our local bowling alley
which has not been able to operate for the past year.

MMTC treasurer Jonathan Lea has prepared a draft budget for 2021, which will be presented to the membership for approval. The draft budget assumes no major in-person community events in the
coming year. If MMTC is able to present events such as the Fourth of July celebration or Street Fair in
2021, the budget will be amended to include them.

This will be a Zoom meeting.
