New Owners Plan to Re-open Iconic Mira Mesa Business
Mira Mesa Lanes, the iconic bowling alley in the heart of Mira Mesa and one of the community’s oldest businesses, has been purchased by new owners who plan to re-open the historic business as soon possible.
Professional bowler Missy Parkin and her husband, Drew Parkin, who own bowling pro shops in several locations in California, said they have long wanted to run a bowling alley, and they were impressed with the youth programs and community involvement of Mira Mesa Lanes.
In an announcement March 8 Missy and Drew Parkin said they and two others have purchased Mira Mesa
Lanes and plan to re-open for bowling as soon as COVID-19 health regulations allow.
“We’re back in business!” the Parkins said.
